Founded

Oasis Gold Refinery Established in Kampala

Founded by a team of Ugandan metallurgists and precious metals specialists, Oasis Gold opened its first facility in Kampala with a clear purpose: to give Uganda's artisanal miners direct access to international-grade refining and fair, transparent pricing — without the exploitation of trading intermediaries.

Year 2

Fire Assay Laboratory Commissioned

Investment in a dedicated fire assay laboratory with dual muffle furnaces and a precision analytical balance allowed Oasis to offer Uganda's most accurate gold testing service, achieving the ISO-standard ±0.01% accuracy required for legal hallmarking and DGSM certification.

Year 4

Wohlwill Electrolysis Plant Operational

Commissioning of the Wohlwill electrolytic refining plant elevated Oasis to Uganda's only refinery capable of producing 999.9 four-nines fine gold — the international benchmark for investment bullion, required by European, Gulf, and Asian buyers.

Year 6

OECD Due Diligence & ICGLR Certification Program Launched

Oasis adopted the full OECD 5-step Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Mineral Supply Chains and the ICGLR Regional Certification Mechanism — becoming one of the first Ugandan refineries to issue internationally-recognised conflict-free gold certificates to clients. This unlocked access to European and American institutional buyers.

Year 8

500+ Clients Milestone & Export Service Launch

Passing the 500-client milestone, Oasis launched its full end-to-end export service — managing DGSM permits, URA declarations, UEPB certificates, and Entebbe airport logistics in-house, making it the only Uganda refinery offering complete mine-to-market handling under one roof.

2025

Laboratory Expansion & XRF Fleet Upgrade

Doubling the fire assay laboratory capacity and adding a second XRF analyser in response to growing demand from miners across all six of Uganda's gold-producing regions. Oasis is now positioned to process multiple large consignments simultaneously — maintaining the same-day assay guarantee even during Uganda's record-breaking export boom.
